“Aaron Fernandez was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, in 1972. He earned a Masters degree in cinematographic and audiovisual studies, in Paris, France, specializing in directing and screenwriting. Back in Mexico he founded, along with partners, Cinta Negra, an independent production company, thus participating in art house film and television projects.
As a director, Aaron has worked in several projects, including documentaries, four short films and his first feature film . Partes usadas. The film took part in more than 30 festivals worldwide, winning various awards. Aaron Fernandez current project is Las horas muertas, the story of Sebastián, a 22 year-old boy, who starts working during the late hours in a decaying motel on the desolated coast of Veracruz, where he meets odd characters and with whom he shares his solitude.
Las horas muertas is about the passing of time and how solitude can be set aside for an impossible love story.”
