Abay KULBAYEV

Abay Kulbayev was born in a family of artists. He started studying cinema at the Academy of Arts, Almaty, Kazakhstan in 1996 and graduated in 2001. He has written and directed 4 short films ‘Gontcharka-2’ (best film for children at the youth film Festival in Kazakhstan in 2001), ‘The Apple’ (2002), ‘300 Km’ (2003) and ‘The Touch’ (2004). He is currently working on his first feature script ‘Swift’.
