Amat ESCALANTE

Amat Escalante was born in 1979 and has lived most of his life in the small town of Guanajuato (Mexico). He completed his first short film in 2002, “Amarrados”. This award winning short was screened at festivals worldwide, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Escalante’s first feature film “Sangre” (2005), premiered at the Un Certain Regard of Cannes Film Festival, where the film received the FIPRESCI Prize of the International Critics. He is developing his second feature film ” Los Bastardos “.
