Azadi BEHZAD

Behzad Azadi is coming from a Kurdish background in Iranian Kurdistan. He has BA in Cinema from Tehran University of Art. His short films have won a dozen Iranian and International awards around the world, namely the best Jury Prize from Busan International Film Festival for “Temporary”. The turning point in Behzad’s career formed with his short fiction “Koshtargah: Slaughterhouse” by attending the Cinefondation in 2015. He is now developing Koshtargah as a personal attachment of his into a feature narrative under the working title “Storks” while attending the Cannes Residency in 2021.
