Barney ELLIOTT

“Barney Elliott was born in 1974 and raised in New York City. He went to the University of Wisconsin and moved to Northern California. After graduating from the University of San Francisco with an B.A. in Media Communications, Barney went to the The London Film School to do his post-graduate work in The Art and Technique of Filmmaking.

Working on several formats of both film and video as Director, Producer, Camera Operator and Editor, Barney discovered a passion for the cutting room. Barney worked as a freelance editor on several films and documentaries as well as commercials, spots, promos, virals, and other instutional films. In 2006 he directed his short film True Colours which has screened at nearly 40 competive festivals worldwide to date and has won several prizes in both Filmmaking and Acting. Barney is currently working on his first feature script, working title: Bound. Exploring themes of hope, racism, and conscience, Bound carefully traces three carefully constructed human stories that become intertwined due to an international transaction in Peru by a New York banker.”
