Ben HACKWORTH

“Ben HACKWORTH was born in Brisbane, Australia in 1977.
Ben lived in America for three years before completely his Bachelor of Film at Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts. His graduating film Martin Four screened at Cannes in the Cinefondation Selection in 2001. Since then he has made two more short films Half Sister and Violet Lives Upstairs which were screened at Edinburgh, Montreal, Sao Paulo, Palm Springs and many other festivals. Violet Lives Upstairs won the Australian critics award for best short film in 2003. The Serpent is his first feature script. It is a mysterious love story set in the jungle of North Queensland. Jack, a young man, fights his compulsion for a dangerous and secret life amidst the all-encompassing love of his older sister Natasha.”
