Brendan GRANT : graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin in 1997, and subsequently worked as a sculptor with exhibitions in Dublin, London and New York. Before attending the National Film and Television School in London, Brendan taught film to young offenders and worked as a freelance cinematographer. Since 2001 he directed five short films, the most recent of which; London Fields Are Blue has been screened at over ten festivals winning second prize at Karlovy Vary in the Czech republic. He is currently writing his first feature script, commissioned by BBC films “A million miles an hour”. The story of Steven, back in london, robbing morges and dealing with a changing world comes a cropper and winds up at Her Majestys Pleasure (in jail). Released with an electronic tag and bound to keep the peace and his curfew, Steven negociates his new life with the foolishness and heroism of youth.”
