David PINHEIRO VICENTE

David Pinheiro Vicente (1996) is a portuguese filmmaker, based in Lisbon. He studied film directing and editing at the Lisbon Theater and Film School and aesthetics and art studies at the New University of Lisbon. He worked as art director on   several short films and tv series and as assistant to the director Salomé Lamas. His thesis short film Where the Summer Goes (chapters on youth) premiered at the Berlinale Shorts competition, was shown in over 40 different countries and venues, including Ficunam, Oberhausen, Karlovy Vary and FilMadrid, received awards and honorable mentions at San Sebastian, Tel Aviv and Vila do Conde and was screened on tv and online by Arte-ZDF. His second short film, The Lamb of God, premiered at Festival de Cannes, in the official selection, having already been acquired for tv and online by Arte France.He was part of EFP’s Future Frames – Ten New Filmmakers to Follow at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

David is currently developing his debut feature film, Between Past And Future.
