Ukrainian director Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk graduated from Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University in 2013 as a filmmaker (M.Illienko’s Workshop). He was then a Scholarship-participant in the "Gaude Polonia" program in 2015 and 2017. He was also a participant in the 2013 Berlinale Talent Campus. He is a member of the European Film Academy and Ukrainian Film Academy and is also the founder of the Ukrainian Script Platform «Terrarium». His short documentary film Intersection, which was filmed during Aristoteles Workshop, was premiered at the Krakow Film Festival and purchased by ARTE. Dmytro’s professional debut short film Weightlifter (Ukrainian-Polish co-production) was awarded the Short Grand Prix at the Warsaw Film Festival and qualified for Oscar nomination, as well as received awards at many other international festivals. His current project and debut feature film Pamfir was developed through the 2016 Torino Film Lab (Script & Pitch) and the 2017 KVIFF MIDPOINT INTENSIVE and received support from the Ukrainian Cultural Fund.
