“Dorothée VAN DEN BERGHE : Belgian (born in 1968), attended the St. Lukas Academy in Brussels, where she majored in film directing. She’s shot several television productions and shorts, including Rue Verte (1994), Keer uw boot en bid (1996) and Bxl minuit (1998).The latter was selected for festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand, Karlovy and Edinburgh, and has received several awards. Her first feature film, Meisje, was selected in 2002 for the Locarno Film Festival, where it won Le Prix de la Jeunesse and Le Prix du CIVAE/ARTE. She is currently working on her second feature project, My Queen Karo: a portrait of the freewheeling 70s and 80s in Amsterdam, as seen through the eyes of a child.
Post Residence: The shoot of her project, My Queen Karo, is slated for winter 2006-2007, and July-August 2007 for the summer sequences.”
