Fernando GUZZONI

Fernando Guzzoni was born in Santiago, Chile in 1983. He has directed and written advertising and television projects. He also teaches in cinema and theater schools. In 2008 he released his feature Documentary ‘La Colorina’ a film about the punk poet Stella Díaz Varín which had its world premiere in the official competition of the Festival Des Films du Monde in Montreal (Canada) and was also selected by more than twenty international festivals where it received the Award for Best Contemporary Film at the Trieste Festival in Italy and the Award for Best Director in Sanfic (Chile) 2008.  He’s now preparing his feature films ‘La Ñoko’ and ‘Carne de Perro’ which addresses a complex moment in the life of Alejandro a 50 year old former torturer who tries to reinterpret his life and provide a new destiny for him. This script selected for the Residence also received the award for Best Project at the Meeting of Young Filmmakers at the Biarritz Film Festival (2009) and the National Scriptwriting Fund (2010).
