Jacob TSCHERNIA : Danish (born in 1977). Jacob Tschernia graduated from European Film College in Denmark in 1997/1998. He worked as editor and assistant director in the Danish film industry until 2001. He directed two short films Poster (2001, 15′), 2 Minutes (2001, 8′). His short film 2 Minutes (2001, 8′) has been presented in several festivals as such as the Cannes Film Festival official selection Semaine de la critique in 2001, International Critic’s Week or the Chicago International Film Festival and won the 1st prize at the national short film competition close Up 2001, which serves as a talent contest for young Danish directors. His first feature project is entlited ‘Chef’ is about a Danish demi-chef who works in a three star restaurant in Paris. It is both a modern love story about losing real love, trying to reach for the impossible, and a faustian story about sacrificing personal integrity to fullfill high ambitions.
