“Jaime ROSALES : Spanish (born in 1970).
After beginning his career as a screenwriter for film and television, he received a grant to attend the International Film School (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. From there, he went on to study at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney. After directing several short films, his debut feature Las horas del día (The Hours Of The Day), was awarded the FIPRESCI prize at the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes 2003, nominated for the DISCOVERY award by the European Film Academy, and nominated for 2 Goyas as Best First Film and Best Original Screenplay. His next project La soledad (Loneliness) tells the story of three women in Madrid who share separately the same dream: happiness.
Post Residence: Jaime has completed the writing of his project developed at the Residence, La Soledad, whose shoot is slated for July 2006, in coproduction with AD VITAM.”
