“Josué MÉNDEZ : Peruvian, born in 1976. After studying Film and Latin American Studies at Yale University, Josué Méndez wrote and directed three short films, winning with Parelisa the Casa de América Award for Best New Director at the 2000 Festival Iberoamericano de Cine de Huesca, Spain. In 2004, he finished his first feature film, Días de Santiago, which had its world premiere in competition at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. Since, Días de Santiago has participated in many international festivals. The film was theatrically released in both France and Spain. Currently, he is working on Dioses (Gods), a feature film about a brother and sister, rich and beautiful, caught up in the decadence and social indifference of the Peruvian upper class.
Post Residence: Josué has completed the writing of his project developed at the Residence, Dioses. The shoot is slated for April 2006, and will be coproduced by TS Productions.”
