Katarina STANKOVIC

Katarina Stankovic comes from Belgrade, Serbia. After graduating with a BFA in Audiovisual Studies from the San Francisco Art Institute and Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2005, she completed her postgraduate studies in Film at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne in 2011. The following year she attended a certificate course in film restoration at the George Eastman House, International Museum of Photography and Film. She took part in Sarajevo Talent Campus 2012 and Short Film Station of the Berlinale Talent Campus 2013. She has directed several shorts and medium-length films including Zima which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and won several prizes at international festivals. Katarina is currently developing her first feature film Against The Day based on true events from recent Serbian history where parallel worlds and times intersect. She continues making short films while living between Belgrade and Berlin.
