Lucía PUENZO

Lucía Puenzo was born in 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She studied Literature at the University of Buenos Aires, Screenwriting at the School of San Antonio de Los Baños (La Habana), Cinema at the ENERC (School of the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts), and Acting at the Augusto Fernandes School of Theatre. She has written the published novels “El niño pez”, “9 Minutos” and is currently writing “La maldición de Jacinta Pichimahuida”. She has worked as a screenplay writer for Argentinian and Spanish directors, also writing documentaries and TV series. She is also teaching at the University of Buenos Aires. Her first short movie, “Los Invisibles”, prized by the INCAA (National Institute of Audiovisual Arts) and was selected in several festivals. She is now working on the screenplay of her first feature film called “La Elegida”.
