Nadav Lapid was Born in Tel-Aviv (Israel) in 1975. In 2001 Nadav published a novel entitled “Continues to dance”. He got his start as a cultural and then sports journalist before becoming a movie and television critic. He studied philosophy and history in Tel-Aviv and Literature at the University of Saint-Denis in France. He graduated from the Sam Spiegel Film & Television school in Jerusalem. He directed an experimental short documentary”Mahmud works at the industry” from the “Border project”, which was selected at the Cinefondation in 2004. His second student film “Road” was screened at numerous festivals including Berlinale 2005 and his graduation film “Emile’s girlfriend” was selected at the Cinefondation during the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. Both ” Road” and “Emile’s girlfriend” will be distributed in France during this year. Navad is currently working on his first feature film project “The policeman”, a story of two groups who cross paths following a hostage taking: some are policemen, the others young revolutionary radicals.
