Nadine LABAKI

“Nadine LABAKI : After graduating in audiovisual studies from Saint Joseph University in Beirut (IESAV), she worked as a camera operator and assistant producer/editor before undertaking direction of her first short film, 11 Rue Pasteur (best short film award in 1997 at the Beirut Film Festival, best short film award in 1998 at the Arab World Institute in Paris). She is also involved in TV production (Impact BBDO) and acting (acting workshop at the Cours Florent in 1998, performed and worked as art director on Broadway in The Middle Beast). Since 2000, she’s directed several TV commercials and music videos. She’s currently working on a feature project, Les voleuses.
Post Residence: Nadine has completed the writing of her project developed at the Residence, Caramel (ex: Les voleuses), and the shoot, coproduced by Les Films des Tournelles, should  start in 2006.”
