Orkhan AGHAZADEH

Orkhan Aghazadeh was born in Lenkoran, Azerbaijan in 1988.  After getting his bachelor degree in “Journalism and Mass Communications” in the Baku Slavic University back in Azerbaijan, he became interested in making documentary films. His first short documentary film Letter to Lenin was premiered in Leipzig International film festival. While working as a scriptwriter in a local television company he discovered his passion for directing fiction films and decided to explore the field by doing MA in Filmmaking at the London Film School. He graduated the course with the degree of distinction by developing his skills as a writer/director and an editor. His graduation short film “The Chairs” has been accepted to many festivals including Palm Springs Short FF, Angers Premiers Plans FF, Tampere FF, Brussles FF, Poitiers FF and won  awards in others. He is currently developing his first feature film project “The Prisoner”.
