Sabine Ehrl grew up in the small town of Parsberg in eastern Bavaria, Germany. In addition to jobs in the film industry in Munich and Berlin, she worked in a chocolate factory, at the post office, in an IT consulting firm, at horse auctions and as a waitress. She studied psychology in Vienna, Austria, and graduated with honors. While studying at the Film University Babelsberg, she directed the international award-winning short documentary Day After Day and the international award-winning dystopian sci-fi film F For Freaks, which screened at festivals including Sitges, Busan and Fantasia, Montreal. She is currently developing the miniseries F For Freaks and her feature debut PARADISE_bleeding, with which she bagged the Jury Prize at Talent Village Les Arcs 2020.
