Santiago Lozano

Santiago Lozano (Colombia, 1978) has a degree in Social Communications from Universidad del Valle (Colombia 2006). In 2007 he won the Carolina Foundation scholarship to study MA Film and Television Script at Universidad Carlos III Madrid (Spain). His first film Siembra, co-directed with Angela Osorio, had its world premiere at the Locarno International Film Festival (Concorso Cineasti del presente, 2015), and won the best film award at Cinélatino, Rencontres de Toulouse (2016). He performed as still photographer in Crab Trap (Oscar Ruiz. FIPRESCI award, Berlinale 2010), and as Assistant Director in The Towrope (William Vega. Director’s Fortnight, Cannes 2012). He is actually professor at Cinema and Digital Communication program of Universidad Autónoma de Occidente in Cali – Colombia. Santiago is developing his second feature film Tell Them Not To Kill Me.
