Sebastián SCHJAER

Sebastián SCHJAER was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1988. He majored as filmmaker at Universidad del Cine.Since 2008 he’s been teacher in different subjects in Universidad del Cine and Universidad de Buenos Aires. He has also published several articles about cinema in different academic reviews and books. His two short films, Tomorrow All The Things and The Broken Past have been premiered in Cannes. The first one at Cinéfondation Selection, 2013; the second one, at Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, 2015.He has worked as an editor in both feature and short films, directed by Matías Piñeiro, Martín Rejtman, Pablo Agüero and Gael García Bernal.
At present he is working on his first feature film, The Omission, about a young girl who is temporarily living in the south of Argentina with the sole purpose of saving money in order to concrete an old plan with her boyfriend and her daughter. The film has received the support of Hubert Bals Fund for the Script and Project development.
