Sergei LUCHISHIN

“Sergeï LUCHISHIN. Ukrainian, born in 1967 and residing in Moscow, Sergeï Luchishin is a graduate of the National Cinematography School of Moscow (VGIK), specialising in direction. His three school shorts, Vera (1993), Crazy VGIK (1994) and Portrait (2000) are selected by numerous festivals. Portrait takes away Cinéfondation’s First Prize at the 2001 Festival de Cannes (Cannes Film Festival). The same year, he directs Weddings, a short documentary on wedding celebrations in the streets of Moscow.
Post Residence: Sergeï is currently working on a new version of his project, begun at Residence (Sacha’s Moscow), the biography of a man from whose fate is to die in order to save others.”
