Xiaolu GUO

Xiaolu Guo is a Chinese filmmaker and novelist who comes from literature and documentary film background. She directed How is your Fish Today (official selection Sundance and Rotterdam 2007.) She started publishing her poems when she was 14 and lived in south China village until 18 and then went to study at Beijing Film Academy. After graduated from UK’s National Film School on 2003 she starts to prepare fiction films and writes novels in her second language. She has published 3 novels and 4 film books, her recent novel A Concise Chinese English Dictionary For Lovers is tranlated into 20 different languages. UFO IN HER EYES will be her fiction feature improvising with Chinese villagers.
