(THE ROAD)
It¿s a love letter. The one which Anara Kobessov addresses to her husband, the filmmaker, Amir Kobessov.
It is also a nightmare which troubles Amir¿s sleep: in a crowded theatre, during the premiere of his film, the projectionist stupidly gets the reels mixed up. The images on the screen are those of an American karate film. The audience cheers and refuses to have the screening interrupted. It becomes impossible to put the original film back on.
Finally, it is a telegram from his village where he was born announcing the illness of his mother. Amir goes on the road to be with her, leaving Anara and their son in Almaty
