New Producers Room

Launched in 2022, the New Producers Room presents and supports 10 up-and-coming short film producers who already produced at least two short films.

About

The New Producers Room aims to make these producers more acquainted with co-production opportunities thanks to dedicated online sessions and presentations in Cannes.

Beyond financial collaborations, it is the opportunity to build strong & enriching bonds, learn co-production skills for the future, and therefore enhance the distribution & the exhibition of forthcoming short films.

Elaborated as part of the SFC | Rendez-vous Industry, this initiative sets a privileged moment for these young producers to meet potential partners and discover promising short film projects presented within the Creative Programs (Focus SCRIPT – shorts in development & Focus WiP – shorts in progress).

This year’s participants of the New Producers Room will be announced around mid-April.

Collaborations

The New Producers Room is developed in collaboration with European Institutions: Baltic Shorts, CineSud, Croatian Film Centre, Scandinavian Film, Swiss Films, Syndicat des Producteurs Indépendants (SPI).

European Short Pitch offers a consultancy with an experienced producer, to accompany the development phase of one NEW PRODUCERS ROOM attendee’s project in an international framework.

The producer chosen to benefit from the ESP production sessions will also be invited to attend the initiative’s next CoProduction Forum to meet with the selected project-holders.

Go Short – International Short Film Festival and Screen Talent NL invite one producer to attend the next edition of Go Short in Nijmegen and participate in the professionals program. Additionally, the chosen producer benefits from a tutoring session with a mentor on a personalised topic.
