THE STRAIGHT STORY
In the summer of 1994, Alvin Ray Straight, resident of rural Laurens, Iowa, embarked on a trip covering 350 miles to visit his ailing brother across the Mississippi in Mt. Zion, Wisconsin. He made his trip on a ¿66 John Deere riding lawn mower and it took him 6 weeks.
