The Focus SCRIPT is a selection of projects in development by recent graduates of collaborating Visual Arts & Film Schools, presented to key players of the short film Industry – producers, buyers, film funds, institutions, distributors and programmers – during a pitch session. The initiative allows filmmakers to benefit from script-mentoring, distribution strategy and promote their project before its finalization.
The Focus SCRIPT:

MIDPOINT Institute – In the aim of supporting filmmakers with the script-development, one of the projects part of the Focus SCRIPT is selected to participate in MIDPOINT Shorts. The director & the producer benefit from a complete access to this program dedicated to short films in development.
ShorTO Film Market – One project from the Focus SCRIPT will take part in the ShorTO Film Market “You Only Pitch Twice” session, led by the Italian Short Film Center. The project is invited to attend the industry event in Turin in November, and will benefit from a pitch training beforehand.
Music & Cinema Marseille International Festival – In the aim of expanding the artistic dimension of the development process, one of the projects part of the Focus SCRIPT is chosen to participate in the next edition of the European Market for Musical Composition for Image, to meet with composers.
This program is exclusive to the Schools collaborating with the SFC | Rendez-vous Industry. Submissions are made possible upon invitation.
The Focus WiP is a selection of promising short films in production or post-production presented to key players of the short film Industry – distributors, programmers, institutions, film funds, producers and buyers – during a pitch session. The initiative allows filmmakers to benefit from mentoring sessions and promote their project before its finalization.
The Focus COPRO’ is a selection of feature debut projects in their earliest stages. The initiative aims to jumpstart the development of these films with an intensive program of mentoring sessions and an intimate networking event.
