Lukas Dhont tales his story with the Residence of the Cinéfondation

Lukas Dhont is member of the Jury Un Certain Regard of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival.

His experience with the Festival starts with the Residence of the Cinéfondation in Paris, which welcomed him in 2017 to support the writing of his first feature “Girl”, Caméra d’Or of the 71st Cannes Film Festival and Best Actor Award (Un Certain Regard).

« The Residence of Cinefondation was a truly inspiring moment during the making of my first feature! Living together with 5 other amazingly talented young filmmakers from all over the world was an experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. The Cinefondation offered me a place to reflect, to share, to stand still and move forward. Girl would have not been the same without it. »
