The Lab: throwback to the 10 supported projects!

This year marked the launch of The Lab, a new program introduced as part of the Short Film Corner | Rendez-vous Industry 2026.

Structured around two key stages of the creative process — writing and editing — The Lab supported a total of 10 projects through two dedicated initiatives: Writing Hub and Editing Room.

Designed as a working space, rather than a showcase, for short film projects in development and post-production, the program took place in an intimate yet lively environment. Throughout the initiative, numerous industry experts and mentors guided the participants in refining their projects, helping them refine their vision, strengthen their narratives, and supporting them at key stages prior to completion in order to better position their works in the circuit.

Sessions were led around key topics such as script writing, editing, sound design, production & financing, distribution & festival strategy, sales, music composition, pitch deck, pitching, career development or the general short film industry ecosystem… In total, more than 50 plenary & individual sessions have been scheduled specifically for this program!
