PROXIMA, directed by Alice Winocour

Alice Winocour (#LAtelier 2011) presents her new film “Proxima”, which won the Jury Prize at the last San Sebastian Film Festival and a Special Mention at the TIFF 2019.

Sarah is an astronaut and a mother. She trains for her first space mission as she navigates the frustrations of shared parenting with her ex-husband. Attentive both to the fascinating, high-stakes detail of how an astronaut prepares and the more mundane demands of motherhood, Sarah reveals as a woman responding to escalating and competing stresses.

In theatres on 27th November. With Eva Green, Matt Dillon, Zélie Boulant-Lemesle, Aleksei Fateev, Lars Eidinger and Sandra Hüller.
