Sørfond Pitching Forum

The 2021 Sørfond Pitching Forum

This year, the invitation to the Sørfond Pitching Forum is given to « Jilah And The Man With Two Names » directed by Yosep Anggi Noen, produced by Yulia Evina Bhara.

As part of the partner with L’Atelier of the Cinéfondation, the Sørfond Norwegian South Film Fund has extended an invitation to director Yosep Anggi Noen & producer Yulia Evina Bhara to come to Oslo, Norway, in November to present their project « Jilah And The Man With Two Names »  at the Sørfond Pitching Forum. Noen & Bhara represents really exciting voices from Indonesian cinema, and their project caught our attention with its contemporary insight into how the deep seated need for human connection is affected by technology, and the often disturbing double standards society imposes on women.

The Films From the South Foundation organizes the Sørfond Pitching Forum during the annual Films from the South festival in November in Oslo, Norway. Six international film projects are selected from partner film markets around the world and are given an invitation to come to Oslo in November to present their projects to an audience of Norwegian producers. The aim of the Sørfond Pitching Forum is to give filmmakers and producers from eligible countries the opportunity to present their projects to potential Norwegian co-producers, with the aim of concluding a co-production agreement and applying for Sørfond support the following year.
