What is it?

Since 2021, registration for the Cannes Film Festival has been subject to an environmental contribution. Indeed emissions attributable to travel to Cannes and accommodation for accredited guests account for over 80% of the event’s carbon footprint each year (excluding the 2021 edition). All proceeds are donated to carbon reduction and sequestration programs.

This offsetting measure is part of the Festival de Cannes’ environmental policy.
