(HENRI LANGLOIS THE PHANTOM OF THE CINEMATHEQUE)
Henri Langlois creates the Cinémathèque Française in 1936, and saves by this way a thousand films from forgetting and destruction. He gaves birth to the Nouvelle Vague, making know the new cineasts from all the world. Evicted from his Cinémathèque in February 1968 by the De Gaulle government, the cineasts round up and obtain his reinstatement, creating a kind of general rehearsal of May 1968. He was also the creator of the Musée du Cinéma at the Palais de Chaillot, ” Le fantôme d’Henri Langlois ” makes live again this unic man, rewarded by an oscar in 1974, through archives and testimonies of famous people.
