MYSTIC RIVER

Jimmy Markum, David Boyle et Sean Devine were childhood buddies. They played stick hockey on the streets of Boston, growing up in a familiar, tough neighborhood, where nothing much changed until the day one of them got into the wrong car.
David Boyle’s childhood abduction changed everything. The friendship dissolved and the distances grew until another day when, as grown men, they found themselves reconnected by another tragic event. Jimmy Markum’s daughter Katie is brutally murdered. Jimmy is an ex-con who runs a corner grocery and is obsessed with revenge. The cop assigned to the case is Sean Devine, who, with his partner Whitey Powers, has one primary suspect : Dave Boyle.
