Claire Diao - Sudu Connexion

Claire Diao is a French-Burkinabè film critic, she initiated the Quartiers Lointains travelling short film program in 2013, she co-founded the pan-African film magazine AWOTELE in 2015 and she has been managing the pan-African distribution company Sudu Connexion since 2016. TV presenter and columnist, she collaborates since 2011 with many international festivals (programming, animation, jury).

RON DYENS - Sacrebleu Productions

Ron founded Sacrebleu Productions in 1999 and produced more than 90 films (shorts, features, TV series), which have received more than 2000 selections in international festivals (Cannes, Sundance, Berlin, Venice...) and was nominated to and won prestigious awards (Palme d'Or, Silver Bear, French Academy awards, Oscars...). He has also directed 5 short films.

CARLA VULPIANI - La Biennale – Venice International Film Festival | Varicoloured

Carla Vulpiani lives between Italy and Ireland. She co-founded Varicoloured Holistic Film Agency, a distribution company exclusively dedicated to short films. Since 2021, she is also Short Film Advisor of Venice International Film Festival - Orizzonti Short Film Competition.

SIGRID HADENIUS-EBNER - Uppsala Short Film Festival

The Uppsala Region International Residency programme enables a professional filmmaker working in Europe the possibility to reside in the county of Uppsala for a 4-week period. The aim is to offer the filmmaker time for creative development of an ongoing project, teaching opportunities and exchange with regional filmmakers & students.

The Short Film Lab is a training program dedicated to short film distribution. Online and free, aimed at Spanish-speaking independent producers. It combines an open training program with a series of tailor-made mentorships and industry meetings for selected projects through an open call.

ALI KHECHEN - Doha Film Institute

Doha Film Institute develops various initiatives seeking to provide mentorship, nurturing, and hands-on development for filmmakers from Qatar and around the world. A few of them are specifically dedicated to the short film forms, their makers and their experts, such as Qumra Shorts, Short Script Lab, Short Documentary Lab with Rithy Panh, and First Cut Lab.

JULIE MARNAY - European Short Pitch

European Short Pitch is an annual program aimed at discovering and supporting young European talents in the development of their short films, and fostering coproduction and collaboration between industry professionals from all over Europe.

JULIE ROUSSON - Clermont-Ferrand Int’l Short Film Festival & Market

Euro Connection is a co-production forum designed for European producers, broadcasters, distributors and financial backers looking for international coproduction partners or projects. Around 150 industry delegates take part and 14 projects are selected each year.

SARAH SCHLÜSSEL - Berlinale Talents

Berlinale Talents is a talent development initiative and one of the world’s largest film communities with almost 10’000 alumni, featuring talks, workshops, networking events and project development labs. Among them, the Short Form Station welcomes 10 international filmmakers per year to work with acclaimed storytelling experts in tailored group and one-on-one sessions before presenting their projects at Berlinale EFM.
