Highlight on Cinema from the African continent and the Arab World. Filmmakers and Producer will share their paths in the short and feature industry. From making Shorts to developing First Feature, they will give insights of the existing challenges and opportunities.
AMJAD AL RASHEED
Filmmaker
Amjad Al Rasheed, a Jordanian director and writer born in 1985, has an MFA in Cinematic Arts with a concentration on Directing and Editing. In 2016 he was selected by “Screen International” as one of five “Arab Stars of Tomorrow” highlighting the up-and-coming young talents of the region. He attended the Talent Campus during the 57th Berlinale, after which he directed short films that garnered nominations and won prizes at various Arab and international film festivals. His first feature film, INSHALLAH A BOY, is selected to the 2023 Semaine de la Critique.
MOLY KANE
Filmmaker
Poulain d’or 2021 at the Fespaco, Moly’s previous shorts have been awarded in several festivals. He studied audiovisual Writing, Directing, Art and Culture in Senegal and in France at La Fémis. Moly is also the founder of the Festival Dakar Court and has been granted the title of Knight of Senegal’s Ordre national du Mérite.
TANIA EL KHOURY
Producer
Based between Paris and Beirut, Tania El Khoury produces through both her companies Khamsin Films and Les films de l’Altaï. She recently produced Ghassan Salhab’s THE RIVER, Sonia Ben Slama’s MACHTAT and Hussen Ibraheem’s MANITY, for which she is recipient of the Netflix Fund for Creative Equity x AFAC.
DELPHINE JEANNERET

Delphine Jeanneret is a film curator at Int. Kurzfilmtage Winterthur and deputy dean of the cinema department at Geneva School of Art and Design HEAD, where she gives a workshop on festival politics and film curating. She has curated various film programmes in several film festivals and exhibition spaces.
