LA BATAILLE DU RAIL
(BATTLE OF THE RAILS)During WWII, railway workers were active in the shadow to fight the Nazi Occupation at the risk of their lives: intelligence, clandestine transport, sabotage. In June 1944, after the D Day, the struggle carried out by the Résistance-Fer network is intensifying. Athos, the head of a marshalling yard, and his deputy Camargue, are going to do all they can with the help of numerous railwaymen to slow down the advance of German reinforcements towards Normandy. A great classic of post-war cinema that recalls authentic scenes from the Résistance, the Battle of the Rail is a tribute to all the anonymous who took part in the liberation of the country.
