The royal family of Great Britain, 1788. King George III, an energetic, sturdy and eccentric monarch has been on the throne for the last thirty years. Queen Charlotte, his faithful and devoted wife has been at his side for twenty years. She has borne him fifteen children, the eldest is the Prince of Wales and the youngest, the Duke of York. The King and Queen represent stability and harmony to the entire kingdom. The royal family must be an ideal family. But, behind this façade of respectability and etiquette all is haywire. The King is behaving in a strange manner. He hollers obscenities, harasses the Queen’s lady companion, wakes his equerries at dawn and roams the palace in a night gown… Could it be? Has the unbelievable occurred? Has the King of Great Britain gone mad?
