Film and theatre actress Carole Bouquet began her career in 1977 with Luis Buñuel in "That Obscure Object of Desire". An accomplished performer, she alternated between arthouse and blockbuster productions, chalking up over 40 films in France and abroad. After appearing as a Bond Girl in "For Your Eyes Only", she worked with Bertrand Blier for "Buffet Froid" en 1979 and "Too Beautiful For You", for which she picked up the César for Best Actress. She has since appeared in Werner Schroeter’s "Day of the Idiots", Michel Blanc’s "Dead Tired and Summer Things", Claude Berri’s "Lucie Aubrac", Danis Tanovic’s "L’Enfer", Juan Diego Solanas’s "Nordeste" (presented at the Festival de Cannes 2005) and André Téchiné’s "Unforgivable". Carole Bouquet has just finished shooting a remake of a serialised version of "Rosemary’s Baby" for NBC.
