First Korean ever to receive an acting award at Cannes in 2007 for her role in Lee Chang-dong’s "Secret Sunshine", Jeon Do-Yeon made a strong impression on the worldwide, and has won many awards in her career. She made her film debut in "The Contact" after starring in television dramas for five years, and she swept the Best New Actress awards at many film festivals. After that, from "The Harmonium in my memory", "Happy End", "Untold Scandal" and "You are my Sunshine" to "Way back home", she went on to establish a reputation as a "chameleon" who can take on a wide variety of role, and she is staying at the top actress of the South Korean film with being trusted and loved. In 2010, she came back to Cannes again with Im Sang-soo’s "The Housemaid" and she just finished filming "Memories of the Sword", her third collaboration with Park Heung-sik.
