Jean RENOIR

Jean Renoir was a French director and screenwriter, who was born in Paris September 15, 1894 and who died in Beverly Hills, on February 12, 1979. He is the youngest son of the impressionist painter Auguste Renoir.
Renoir will have in turn directed silent pictures, talking pictures, black and white and colour, shooting in France after meeting Pierre Braunberger, in the United States from 1940 and finally in Europe from 1952 onwards. Icon of the poetic realism movement his cinema will later insufflate the French new wave and all of modern cinema.
