Lebanese filmmaker and artist, Joana Hadjithomas, together with Khalil Joreige, uses different media creating links between various artistic works. Their films, as well as photographic and video installations, explore stories kept secret, as a form of resistance to dominant history. They have directed documentaries such as The Lost Film, Khiam 2000-2007, and feature films: A Perfect Day or I Want to See (Un Certain Regard 2008). Their latest project, The Lebanese Rocket Society, includes a documentary and art installations. Their work can be found in major private and public collections and has been shown in museums, biennales and art centres around the world. Joana cofounded Abbout Productions with Khalil Joreige and Georges Schoucair. She is also executive board member of Metropolis Art Cinema in Beirut.
