Award-winning actress Uma Thurman is one of the industry’s most versatile performers, lending her talents to an array of revered films and television. Thurman is currently in production on "The War with Grandpa", opposite Robert De Niro. She recently wrapped "Villains", "Lionsgate’s Down a Dark Hall" and Lars von Trier’s "The House that Jack Built". Thurman is best known for portraying Mia Wallace, a sexy mobster’s wife in Quentin Tarantino’s cult classic "Pulp Fiction", for which she received a 1995 Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Thurman was referred to as the director’s muse for many years, garnering Golden Globe Award nominations for her role in his highly successful "Kill Bill" film franchise. Additional film credits include "Beautiful Girls", "Batman & Robin", "Les Misérables", "Sweet and Lowdown", "Tape", "Hysterical Blindness", for which she won a Golden Globe Award, "Be Cool" and "The Producers". Uma Thurman serves on the Board of Directors for the Foundation Room to Grow. Its mission is to enrich the lives of babies born into poverty throughout their critical first three years of development. Born in Boston and raised in Amherst, Thurman currently lives in New York City with her children.
