Renowned and award-winning filmmaker, Ursula Meier alternates between genre-crossing fictions and unique documentaries like About Pinget or Neither Cops Nor Blacks Nor Whites. She directed Strong Shoulders, a TV film for Arte series Masculin Féminin, which was shown at festivals across the world. In 2008, Ursula Meier directed her first fictional feature film Home, with Isabelle Huppert and Olivier Gourmet, which was selected at the Cannes Semaine de la Critique and won numerous international awards. The film won three Swiss Film Awards including Best Film and three César Award nominations. In 2012, she directed Sister, with Léa Seydoux and Kacey Mottet Klein, winner of the Silver Bear – Special Award at the Berlin Film Festival. The film, which represented Switzerland at the Oscars in 2013 won three Swiss Cinema Awards, including Best Film, just like Home did in 2010. In 2014, she participated in the collective film Bridges of Sarajevo, presented Out of Competition in the Official Selection of the Festival de Cannes. Her latest film, Diary of My Mind, directed as part of the RTS-Arte TV film series Shock Waves, starring Fanny Ardant and again Kacey Mottet Klein, was presented at this year’s Berlin Film Festival.
