He shot a mucic video with the collaboration of Pierre Jolivet on 16 mm; this was his first real experience directing. Then he shot his first short, L'Avant Dernier, black and white, scope, with Pierre Jolivet and Jean Reno. It was presented at the Festival du Film Fantastique d'Avoriaz.
